Ensuring that our services continually reflect the highest standards of quality, efficiency and patient safety is an important contribution you, as Labor Relations Specialist, can make in support of our mission. Reporting to our Director, Human Resources, this position, based at Springfield Regional Medical Center, develops and administers the organization’s labor relations policies, and acts as subject matter consultant and resource to senior management and HR staff. You will administer collective bargaining agreements and participate in monthly labor management meetings; assist in the resolution of grievances and disciplinary matters; prepare Memoranda of Understanding and other documents relating to labor relations assignments; and provide training, interpretation and orientation for union contract-related issues to department managers and associated personnel.

Qualified candidates will have:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2-4 years of experience in a unionized environment managing grievances and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, or an Associate’s degree in paralegal studies with 4-8 years of experience
2. Master’s degree preferred
3. Paralegal, PHR or SPHR certification desired
