Lisa Lynch on July Jobs

On Friday Aug. 3, Lisa Lynch, LERA president elect and Brandeis University Heller School dean, was on the PBS Newshour to discuss "Dueling Data on Jobs in July: More created But Didn't Outplace Unemployment."

The Newshour's summary: "Though 163,000 jobs were created in the month of July, the unemployment rate rose to 8.3 percent. Jeffrey Brown talks to former Labor Department chief economist Lisa Lynch and University of California. Berkeley's Enrico Moretti on why the pace for job growth still lags behind demand."
