The present paper investigates the relationship between union members’ views about the participatory style of the union leadership, commitment to the union, and commitment to the nursing home. Understanding the relationship between union leadership, union commitment, and organizational commitment in a nursing home setting during a change process is important for multiple theoretical and practical reasons. This paper shares some preliminary results from the first wave of the two-wave, longitudinal study.
