ILERA's general purpose is to promote the study of labor and employment relations throughout the world in the relevant academic disciplines. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) is a federal agency that works to build better, more effective workplace relationships and mitigate the damage from inevitable conflict through preventive dialogue, honest communication, and responsive strategies.

Registration is open!

Registration is available and one registration fee will cover admission for general program sessions at all three organizations.

All participants and attendees must register, including speakers and discussants (chairs, moderators, panelists, presenters, speakers, discussants, etc.).

The standard registration deadline is May 2, 2024. Online registration will be open through June 18, 2024. After that, onsite registration will be offered at the headquarters hotel, the Hilton Midtown Manhattan, beginning June 26, 2024. Onsite registration will open at 7 am on the opening day of the conference and at 8 am on the second, third, fourth, and fifth day of the conference.

Hotel reservations are now open; you will need to register for the conference to receive the link to the discounted hotel room reservations in the conference room block.

All meetings will be held at the Hilton Midtown Manhattan, located at 1335 6th Ave, New York, NY 10019. U.S.

You can reserve your  accommodations online at the discounted rate of $309 per night as soon as you register for the conference.

Labor Relations in Major League Baseball

This event will be at the headquarters for Major League Baseball from 4 - 6 pm, a 15-minute walk from the Midtown Hilton Hotel. Join Dan Halem, Deputy Commissioner of Major League Baseball, for a conversation on labor relations in baseball followed by a facility tour that includes the replay center, broadcast technology center, and offices at MLB headquarters.

Selectors of ADR Neutrals (arbitrators and mediators) in labor-management and employment disputes will meet one another in small-group settings that shift at pre-set intervals on Wednesday from 5:15 - 7:15 pm. This event is co-sponsored by Ray Corollary Initiative (RCI); American Arbitration Association (AAA); JAMS; Miles Mediation and Arbitration; National Academy of Arbitrators (NAA); International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR); and the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution. As a fun networking event, we have secured a block of tickets for the final game of the Subway Series! Seat numbers in our block will be randomly assigned to those who purchase a ticket, but we can move around our block once we are there. The ticket block is Section 111 and 108. Transportation will be on your own. First pitch between the New York Mets and the New York Yankees will be at Citi Field at 7:10. Tickets are limited, so reserve yours soon!
